What is Lead time?
On a Gantt chart, lead time is the amount of time by which a successor activity that depends on its predecessor can be advanced. Work on the second task can start even before the first one is finished. Adding lead time to tasks that depend on each other on a critical path can reduce the time needed to complete an entire project.
