Our Journey

2003

Rule engines were all the rage, but they still needed a lot of programming skills. This gave Suresh and his peers a vision to truly democratise rule-based computing and app development. And thus, Orangescape was founded.

2005

The first product ‘Dimension’ was launched - a business app development platform that allowed domain experts to use it without writing a single line of code. Won big-name IT clients, but quickly realised we had built a product betting on user behaviour that wasn’t fully manifested.

2007

We identified the promise of cloud computing and launched our second product, Visual PaaS. It was crafted to address the business application & workflow needs of large enterprises. While the technology bets paid off, the market category didn’t materialise. Another setback, another lesson and another pivot. We persevered.

2012

We took the leap from PaaS to SaaS with the product that will soon become our future and present - Kissflow. At the 2012 Google IO, Kissflow was launched as a workflow creator for Google apps

2016

Thus, Kissflow upgraded. We launched Kissflow as a workflow management software outside of Google Apps. And, the expansion pays off.

2018

Kissflow evolved into a full-fledged work management platform, and won over 10,000+ customers across 160 countries. And our logo got a fresh, new look!

2020

After achieving market recognition in the workflow automation space, we embarked on a much bigger mission and released a suite of products and solutions that help manage the entire spectrum of work.

2021

We launched an ambitious global campaign rooted in what has now become our new philosophy: The Power of Simple!

Now

Decades of getting knocked down only pushed us to reach higher. A long and rewarding journey, but the summit still lies ahead of us...

Suresh Sambandam

CEO & Founder

Suresh is a first-generation entrepreneur well-known for putting India on the global SaaS map. His vision to democratize cutting-edge technologies and build world-class platform products is what led to Kissflow’s inception. He has three US patents to his credit.

Suresh is passionate about entrepreneurship, technology startups and spends a significant amount of time mentoring young companies. He co-founded SaaSBoomi, Asia’s No. 1 & largest SaaS Community for SaaS founders.
